The therapeutic pumpkin treatment is a programme designated for mixed skins prone to overgreasing, with papules, pimples, blackheads, and dilated pores.  The treatment is based on pumpkin pulp, a source of vitamins: C, B1, B2, B6, PP, and K.  The pulp is rich in beta-carotene which easily penetrates the epidermis to be transformed to retinoic acid, the most active form of vitamin A, and retinyl palmitate or the ester form of anti-oxidating properties.  Vitamin A demonstrates seboregulating properties and as such reduces seborrhoea, blackhead formation, and development of inflammatory lesions; hence, the pure skin effect is achieved in no time.  The treatment is enhanced by the included keratolytic acids at low concentrations, to name e.g.: mandelic acid, salicylic acid, and nordihydroguaiaretic acid, which are also found to have anti-bacterial and sebostatic properties.  An innovative solution consists in application of probiotics in the form of proteolytic enzymes obtained in the process of pumpkin organic decomposition.  Probiotics prevent multiplication of harmful bacteria and thus reduce and eliminate the risk of infections or skin problems.  Thanks to inclusion of anti-inflammatory substances such as: niacinamide, orange and common lilac stem cells, the treated skin is matted, brightened, and properly moisturised.
